Arvind Kejriwal holds roadshow in Punjab, slams BJP
Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal is on a two-day visit to Punjab after getting bail in the liquor policy scam.
On Thursday, he held a roadshow in support of AAP candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal for the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat. Earlier, Kejriwal paid obeisance at the Golden Temple and Shri Durgiana Mandir.
Arvind Kejriwal said, “I am coming out of jail. I was implicated in a false case and imprisoned. When Bhagwant Mann Saheb used to visit me in jail, I would ask him if the people in Punjab were happy. I used to wonder why I was put in jail.
“We waived electricity bills in Delhi and Punjab; that’s why I was put in jail. We improved government schools; why put us in jail? My fault was building mohalla clinics and schools for you. When I went to jail, they didn’t give me insulin for 15 days. By the grace of God, I got a reprieve for 20 days. Whether I go to jail again or not depends on you. So, when you go to vote, remember to vote for Kejriwal.”
He attacked the BJP and urged people to teach a lesson to these tyrant rulers.
