Associate of MP Amritpal Singh sent to three-day police remand in Ajnala police station attack case

Chandigarh: Amandeep Singh Amana, an associate of Lok Sabha MP Amritpal Singh, was produced before a local court by Ajnala police in connection with the attack on Ajnala police station.

The court has remanded him to police custody for three days.

DSP Ajnala Gurwinder Singh said that Amana, who was named in FIR number 39 related to the attack, was arrested and presented in court, which sent him to police remand till March 25.

A case has been registered under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in connection with the attack, in which several policemen were injured. Amana was wanted in the case, the officer added.
