Bajwa’s remark on AAP MLAs sparks political row, AAP claims he is joining BJP

Chandigarh: Senior Punjab Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa’s remarks ahead of the two-day Punjab Assembly session have triggered a political storm.

When asked whether Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs were in contact with him, Bajwa compared the situation to advance bookings for singer Diljit Dosanjh’s concerts, saying Congress was also “booking” AAP legislators in advance.

AAP Punjab chief Aman Arora and party spokesperson Neel Garg hit back, alleging Bajwa himself was preparing to join the BJP.

Arora claimed that Bajwa had already secured a “ticket” from the BJP and questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi about Bajwa’s recent visit to Bengaluru, where he allegedly met senior BJP leaders.

Garg echoed the claim, asserting that Bajwa had “climbed 12 steps” and only needed to “open the door” to the BJP. He urged Rahul Gandhi to monitor his party members, insisting that Bajwa’s switch was only a matter of time.
