Balkar Singh dedicates and lays foundation stones of multiple road, water and sewerage projects worth Rs 5.11 crore

Jalandhar: Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh on Wednesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of multiple water supply, roads and sewerage infrastructure development projects worth Rs 5.11 crore in seven villages of district.

      The development works include laying of water supply, new parks, solar lights and sewerage in Jandu Singha, Jamalpur, Pahda, Raipur-Rasoolpur, Ballan, Randhawa Masanda and Kahanpur villages of the district. The projects in Raipur-Rasoolpur and Randhawa Mansanda have been dedicated to the people.
Addressing the people, Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh said that development works were being carried out on a war footing in the rural areas by the Punjab government. He said that the AAP party government had given new hope to the people of the state and every guarantee made to the people was being fulfilled. He said that the government had been spending crores of rupees for development works in the rural areas of Punjab and ensuring civic infrastructure and amenities like urban areas. He said that the AAP government had been laying major focus on key areas including health education, roads, power, clean drinking water, sanitation, playgrounds, and other basic facilities in the villages.
Singh said that AAP had committed clean and transparent governance to the people for which it had launched a war against corruption. He also said that the topmost priority was being given to completing development works on time. He highlighted historic decisions of the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann including 600 free units of electricity, one MLA-one pension, 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics, Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Scheme, ‘Sarkar, Tuhade Dwar, 40000 government jobs and many more during his address.
