Be ready to pay fine if Punjabi is not written on top in all sign boards, name plates from Feb 21: AAP Govt
Punjab E News: With a view to promote Punjabi language and culture, the Punjab government has issued orders to put up signboards in Punjabi language on all private and government buildings across the state by February 21. Those who do not do so will be fined after February 21. Chief Minister Mann has said that Punjabi should be written prominently along with other languages on all signboards.
He said that the government will take action against those who do not adopt it. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on the occasion of International Language Day on February 21. He had called for putting up guideline boards of all government and non-government establishments and shops in the state in Punjabi.
