Bikram Singh Majithia appears before SIT for second day in drug smuggling case
Chandigarh: Former Akali minister Bikram Singh Majithia appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for the second consecutive day in connection with a three-and-a-half-year-old drug smuggling case. The SIT, led by DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, is conducting the probe.
Before his appearance, Majithia paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Dukhniwaran Sahib in Patiala. He was questioned for several hours on Monday, and the interrogation continued at the SIT office at the police lines.
The SIT also includes IPS officer Varun Sharma, Patiala SP (Investigation) Yogesh Sharma, and ADA Anmoljit, among others.
SAD spokesperson and lawyer Advocate Arshdeep Singh Kaler was present alongside Majithia during the proceedings.
