BJP announces 6 candidates for Punjab polls; Rinku from Jalandhar, Bittu to contest from Ludhiana
Chandigarh: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Punjab and fielded 6 candidates.
The candidates are Sushil Rinku from Jalandhar, Ravneet Singh Bittu from Ludhiana, Preneet Kaur from Patiala, Hans Raj Hans from Faridkot, Dinesh Babbu from Gurdaspur and Taranjit Singh Sandhu from Amritsar.
It is for the first time that the BJP alone is contesting all the 13 seats in Punjab. The last election was contested by BJP in alliance with SAD.
