BJP Minister Ravneet Bittu reiterates statement on release of Bandi Sikhs, says ‘Will not create any obstacle’

Chandigarh: Ravneet Bittu, Union Minister of State, had been opposing the release of Sikhs imprisoned in jails until now. However, Bittu has taken a U-turn on this issue.

While in the Congress, Bittu had always strongly opposed the release of Balwant Singh Rajoana and other detained Sikhs.

Ravneet Bittu said that if the central government makes any decision in favor of the Sikhs imprisoned in jails in the future, he and his family will not oppose it under any circumstances.

Bittu said it is time to move on and that they will not oppose the release of any jailed Sikh, including Rajoana. They are ready to make any sacrifice to maintain peace in Punjab.
