Bodybuilder dies by suicide after girl’s refusal to marry

Chandigarh: Pawanpreet Singh, a resident of Mullanpur, died this morning at the Government Hospital in Sector 32, Chandigarh. He had allegedly consumed a poisonous substance on Saturday in front of a girl’s house in Halwara village.

Singh, a bodybuilder and bouncer, was reportedly in a relationship with the girl for several years.

However, after his arrest in a drug smuggling case in 2023, the girl’s family ended the relationship.

Following his release on bail, Singh attempted to reconcile and propose marriage, but his proposal was rejected.
