Bomb threat sparks panic at Ludhiana DC office; police begin probe

Ludhiana: Panic spread at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Ludhiana on Wednesday after a bomb threat was received via email. The threat, sent to the official email ID of DC Himanshu Jain, claimed that the office would be blown up.
Following the alert, the Ludhiana Police launched an investigation and began tracing the IP address of the sender.
A bomb disposal squad and sniffer dog units were immediately deployed to the site, and the entire building was thoroughly searched.
Security has been heightened in and around the DC office premises. Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain confirmed the incident, stating that the police were informed as soon as the threat was detected and all necessary precautions were taken.
