Cabinet Minister attends silver jubilee cultural program as Chief Guest, asserts that state government is committed to the welfare of employees

Chandigarh: Punjab Information and Public Relations Minister S. Chetan Singh Jouramajra, on Wednesday, said that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government is actively promoting the state’s cultural heritage and tourism to position Punjab on the global tourism map.

While attending the silver jubilee cultural program ‘Bol Punjab De-2024’, organised by the Punjab Secretariat Cultural Society in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Center Patiala here at Tagore Theatre, the Chief Guest S. Chetan Singh Jouramajra emphasized that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann’s vision of transforming Punjab into ‘Rangla Punjab’ is comprises of well-being and prosperity of all sections of the community, particularly government employees, who play a pivotal role in realizing the CM’s vision. He reiterated, Mann government is committed to the welfare of employees, highlighting that the recruitment of over 40,000 youngsters in various government positions has been done to strengthen the departments.

Commending the management team for organizing such an impressive celebration, the Cabinet Minister acknowledged that while the government is promoting Punjab’s rich cultural heritage, it wouldn’t be possible without the support of the state’s people.

The Cabinet Minister also released a souvenir of the Punjab Civil Secretariat Cultural Society during the event. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. KAP Sinha, Director Horticulture Mrs. Shailender Kaur were the special guests of the event.

During the silver jubilee event ‘Bol Punjab De-2024’, film actress, singer and model Nisha Bano presented her performances and enthralled the audience. Folk dance ‘Malwai Giddha’ was performed by the employees of Punjab Civil Secretariat. Davinder Singh Jugni, Kulwant Singh, Bhupinder Singh Jhajj, Kamal Sharma, Narvinder Singh, Jagjit Singh, Davinder Singh, Gaurav, Sikandar Singh, Balwant Singh Bhangu, Charanjit Singh, Lakhwinder Singh Lakhi, Dholi Jagtar Singh and others have thrilled the audience with their steps of the Malwai Gidha. Similarly, Folk dance ‘Luddi’ was presented by Uma Rani, Kulwinder Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, Mary, Narinder Kaur, Kanchan, Gagan, Jasveer Kaur, Harpreet Kaur, Kulveer Kaur and Dholi Surmukh Singh.

A comedy short play “Main Sach Boldi” written and directed by Rupinder Pal Rupi and Mr. Raman Mittal was also portrayed, featuring humorous performances by Rupinder Pal Rupi, Davinder Singh Jugni, Sukhchain Singh Khaira, Gurinder Singh, Kamal Sharma, Sandeep Kamboj, Surita Sharma, Sukhjit Kaur Ginni and Sarabjit Singh.

Surita Sharma and Navi Sharma presented Punjabi Melody Dance, while folk dance ‘Jindua’ was presented by Sukhjit Kaur, Hardeep Kaur, Amandeep Kaur, Jaswinder Kaur, Ravneet Kaur, Gagan, Sarabjit Singh, Dharminder Singh, Deepinder Singh Saini, Tushar Sethi, Karan and Gagan.

Religious song ‘Ibaadat’ was presented by Singer Deep Saaz and a semi-classical melody was performed by Tushar Sethi and Disha. Raman Mittal and Suneha conducted the stage.
