Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond exhorts people to follow path shown by Lord Vishwakarma Ji
Ludhiana News: Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister, Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Saturday stated that Lord Vishwakarma Ji is credited with the creation of Craft, Architecture, and Engineering on our planet.
Addressing a state level function at Lord Vishwakarma Mandir in Miller Ganj, here, to observe Vishwakarma Day, Sond mentioned that the global industrial and infrastructure development is a direct result of Lord Vishwakarma’s blessings. He was also accompanied by MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi, DC Jitendra Jorwal, besides others.
The Minister further explained that the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government is focusing on skill development for the youth throughout the state, aiming to enable them to lead lives of dignity and self-respect, in line with Lord Vishwakarma’s principles and teachings. Lord Vishwakarma is revered as the supreme architect of the universe, known as the Master of all machinery and tools used in industrial processes.
Encouraging the public to emulate Lord Vishwakarma’s teachings, Sond stated that supporting skill development across the state will be a fitting homage to the Lord Vishwakarma.
MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi also appealed the people, especially the Punjabi youth to improve their professional skills to enhance their abilities for capturing new jobs avenues.
Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal also paid obeisance at the temple.
Cabinet Minister Sond also announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh for the temple and assured fulsome support in completing the pending civil works.
On this occasion, the Minister also honoured several prominent industrialists namely Avtar Singh Birdi, Raghbir Singh Sembi, Jagir Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Sandeep Singh, Gurmukh Singh, Harsharan Singh, Harvinder Singh Hunjan, Jatinder Singh Birdi, Harnek Singh Sond, Talvinder Singh, Bhupinder Singh Sembhi, besides several others with Vishwakarma Awards, besides sewing machines were also distributed amongst needy women.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mandir Committee president Ranjit Kumar Salh, Gen Sec Ashish Dhiman Salh, Amarjit Singh Tikka, besides several others.
