CBI team raids at Jalandhar Regional Passport Office

Chandigarh: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a search at the Passport Regional Office in Jalandhar, Punjab. CBI teams reached Jalandhar from Chandigarh in the morning. Currently, three CBI officers are searching the office. However, no official statement has been released about this at the moment.

The matter is linked to the passport inquiry. Sources have revealed that in the last few days, guidelines were violated in Jalandhar regarding passport issuance. Information regarding this was sent to the CBI office in Chandigarh. The search is being conducted to investigate these facts.

CBI sources said a large number of documents have been seized from Jalandhar so far, based on which the next phase of the investigation will be conducted. Teams are currently conducting searches.

However, no statement from any passport officer in Jalandhar has been released regarding this. Additionally, the phones of many high officials in the Jalandhar Regional Office are currently switched off.
