Centre suspends twitter account of Amritpal Singh
The Central government on Friday has blocked the Twitter account of Amritpal Singh, the head of ‘Waris Punjab’.
Singh’s account will remain closed in the country and he had over 11,000 followers on his Twitter account.
Earlier, Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring has written a letter to DGP Gaurav Yadav regarding the activities of youth leader Amritpal Singh. In this, he said that Amritpal Singh is pushing the youth towards terrorism. We will not let the youth go this way.
Raja Warring, in his letter, said that for Amritpal Singh, the event held on September 29 at village Rode in Moga has created many apprehensions among the people. He said that due his hatred speeches at a religious event, there is an atmosphere of fear among the people.
He wrote that Amrit Pal has given very provocative arguments at this event. It can spoil the atmosphere. He said it should be clear as to why Amritpal has given a speech that could mislead the youth.
