‘Chandigarh Morcha’: CM invites farmers, labourer unions for talks
Chandigarh: The Punjab government is in the process of postponing the ‘Chandigarh Morcha’ to be organised by the farmers and labour parties on September 1 over the agriculture policy. The series of meetings with farmer and labour leaders by a team of police officers has been going on for two days.
The Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ugrahan) and the Punjab Khet Mazdoor Union have decided to hold a morcha in Chandigarh from September 1 to press for their demands, including the farm policy, and have announced to march towards the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on September 2 as the monsoon session begins on September 2.
