‘Closed door meeting’ between Dera Radhasoami chief and Jathedar Harpreet Singh sparks speculation
Bathinda: A confidential meeting between Dera Radhasoami Beas chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon and Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has sparked intrigue. The two leaders reportedly held an hour-long discussion at Jathedar Harpreet Singh’s residence on Barnala Road on Thursday.
Both sides have remained tight-lipped about the purpose of the meeting. According to sources, the Dera chief was already scheduled to visit the local Dera Radhasoami on the Bathinda-Gonyana road.
His helicopter landed at a makeshift helipad in the thermal colony, after which he traveled to the Jathedar’s residence by car.
Akali leader Surjit Singh Rakhra is also believed to have attended the meeting. The house was heavily guarded, with media personnel being kept at bay, further adding to the mystery surrounding the event.
The meeting’s secrecy has fueled speculation, with political and religious observers closely watching for any potential implications.
