CM Mann hands over appointment letters to 450 new government employees in Punjab

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday handed over appointment letters to 450 newly appointed employees across various government departments during a ceremony held at Tagore Theatre in Sector 18, Chandigarh.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, 184 appointments were made in the Agriculture Department, followed by 87 in the Local Government Department, 55 in the Sports Department, and 28 in the Water Resources Department.

Other departments that received new staff include the School Education Department (26), Water Supply and Sanitation (26), PUDA (22), Health and Family Welfare (six), Finance (10), Excise and Taxation (two), and Tourism and Cultural Affairs (four).

Mann said the state government was committed to providing employment opportunities to the youth and filling vacant posts in a transparent manner.
