CM Mann holds Janata Darbar in Jalandhar, redresses problems of people under ‘Doabe ch Sarkar Tuhade Darbar’ scheme
Jalandhar: Fulfilling another promise made with people of the state, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Wednesday gave succor to the people by on the spot resolution of their grievances by personally meeting them at his Jalandhar residence as a part of now ‘Doabe Ch Sarkar Tuhaade Dwaar’ scheme.
The Chief Minister, while interacting with the media persons here today, said that as promised by him that he will personally sit here for two days, he has come here to solve the grievances of people. He said that every person coming here is being attended to and his problem is being disposed off through a robust mechanism. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he is elated to learn that people from other districts are also coming here to get their routine administrative works done.
The Chief Minister said that such a step was never taken in the last 75 years due to which people are coming in large numbers. He said that this is not only helping in solving the problems of people but is also emerging as a platform for getting feedback related to the policies of the state government. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the sole motive of this initiative is to ensure that people of the state especially from Majha and Doaba region are facilitated for getting their routine works done adding that today he listened to grievances of people till 8 pm in evening.
The Chief Minister said that people now won’t have to rush to Chandigarh for getting their routine works done as the elected head of the state will be himself available to them at Jalandhar only. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that he had made the promise to the people that rather than Chandigarh, the government will run from towns and districts of state adding that it is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction for him that he has once again fulfilled his words. He said that the sole aim of his every endeavour is to ensure progress of the state and prosperity of its people.
The Chief Minister said that gone are the days when the government was run from the offices in Chandigarh adding that for saving time, money and energy of people, the sovereign masters of state, now the government is being run from the villages and towns. He said that the state government has already launched its flagship scheme of Sarkar Tuhaade Dwaar under which village level camps are being organised to offer citizen centric services to people at their doorsteps. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that more such pro-people initiatives will be taken in the coming days for the welfare of people.
