CM Mann may announce release of around 45 prisoners on August 15
Punjab E News: In the cabinet meeting that is being held on Friday, the agenda for the release of some prisoners will also be placed. Government sources said that on August 15, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will announce the release of around 45 prisoners. These are prisoners who have shown good conduct during their sentence and did not do any wrong while serving the sentence.
Their sentence is almost nearing completion. Only such prisoners will be released, who were involved in petty crimes. Those who have committed serious crimes, their case will not be considered. It is learnt that the prison department has submitted the list of such prisoners to the government and it will be discussed in the cabinet on Friday, in which a final decision will be taken.
