Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities visits Pingalwara in Palsora

Madhavi Kataria commends Bhagat Puran Singh’s contributions to supporting the destitute

Chandigarh News (Pawan Dhupar):  State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) in Chandigarh Madhavi Kataria paid a visit to the All India Pingalwara Charitable Society branch in Palsora, Sector 55, today. During her visit, she lauded the principles and initiatives established by Bhagat Puran Singh to uplift and care for destitute individuals.
Kataria toured key facilities, including medical wards, the Bhagat Puran Singh Special School, a physiotherapy center, a dental clinic, the langar hall, laundry areas, and the library.
She admired the artwork created by special children, interacted with patients to understand their needs, and inspected food preparation at the langar hall. She also reviewed emergency ambulance services.
Mrs. Priya, the principal of the special school, provided a detailed overview of the institution’s activities and programs.
Assistant administrators Sardara Singh Cheema and Harpal Singh highlighted challenges faced by the institution, including the need for Aadhaar and UID cards, railway concession cards, and pensions for patients. They also requested the completion of an unfinished road leading to the Pingalwara branch.
To honor Kataria’s visit, the management presented her with a collection of the institution’s publications and a photograph of Bhagat Puran Singh.
