Congress expels Manpreet Badal loyalist Bathinda Mayor, 4 councillors from party for six years
Chandigarh: The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) has taken a major action against the Mayor of Bathinda. The Punjab Congress has expelled five councillors, including Bathinda Mayor Raman Goyal, from the party for six years. They are loyalist of former Congress minister Manpreet Singh Badal.
Bathinda Municipal Corporation Mayor Raman Goyal (ward number 35 councillor), along with councillors Inderjit Singh, Atma Singh, Sukhraj Singh Aulakh and Rajat Rahi, have been expelled from the party for six years on charges of carrying out anti-party activities and violating party discipline.
Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring took action on the recommendation of the party’s district president Shahari Rajan Garg. The letter was issued by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) general secretary Captain Sandeep Sandhu.
