Congress wins 3 and AAP 1 seat, Amritpal Singh wins as Independent candidate in Punjab, Manish Tiwari wins from Chandigarh

Chandigarh: In Punjab, the counting of votes for Lok Sabha seats is underway. Independent candidate and Khalistani synthesizer Amritpal Singh won the Khadoor Sahib seat. Harsimrat Kaur Badal of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has won the election from Bathinda, defeating AAP minister Gurmeet Singh Khudiyan.

Dr. Amar Singh of Congress has won from Fatehgarh Sahib. Gurjeet Singh Aujla of Congress has won the Amritsar seat for the third time in a row, defeating Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by 37,587 votes. Aujla received 247,385 votes, while Dhaliwal received 209,798 votes.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer has won from Sangrur, defeating sitting MP Simranjit Singh Mann of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) by nearly 1.68 lakh votes.

In Jalandhar, Congress’ Charanjit Singh Channi has also won, defeating BJP’s Sushil Kumar Rinku by 1,75,993 votes. Additionally, there is a tight fight in the Anandpur Sahib, Ferozepur, and Patiala seats.

In Chandigarh, Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Manish Tewari has defeated BJP’s Sanjay Tandon by 3,613 votes.
