DC CONSTITUTES SPECIAL TEAMS TO CONDUCT CHECKING AT IMMIGRATION FIRMS IN JALANDHAR  

Jalandhar:  In compliance with the directions issued by the state government, Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal today formed special teams to conduct physical checking at entire immigration firms in the district. In his orders, the DC has constituted for member committee including Sub Divisional Magistrates, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Station House Officers, and Tehsildars wherein he directed these committees to conduct physical verification of all immigration firms working in the district.
ASKS LICENSED IMMIGRATION CONSULTANTS TO ENSURE STRICT ADHERENCE TO RULES 

Divulging the details, the deputy commissioner said that all firms must ensure strict compliance to the norms laid down under the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act 2014 so that people do not face any kind of malpractice on the hands of immigration firms. He further added that as per the mandate of this Act, all license holders are duty-bound to submit their monthly business reports to district administration. Likewise, the district administration was entrusted to conduct time to time checking in the premises of these firms.

DIRECTS OFFICIALS TO FURNISH PHYSICAL CHECKING BY JULY 10

Mr. Sarangal has further directed the all SDMs to immediately start the inspection at immigration/travel consultants in the district and submit their checking report by July 10, 2023 so that this compiled report could be forward to the state government. He categorically mentioned that no one would be allow to violate norms prescribed under the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act 2014 and stern action would be initiated against those found accountable of violating these norms. He directed the SDMs to cover all aspects of the law during their checking and recommend action in case violation is found on the part of these companies.
