DJ association Punjab comes in support of dancer in marriage palace incident
Ludhiana: Jagroop Singh, a resident of Ranwan, has been arrested as the main accused in the marriage palace incident involving dancer Simar Sandhu on stage at the marriage palace during the wedding ceremony in Samrala, Khanna.
According to sources, three other individuals have also been apprehended by the police, but their involvement is yet to be confirmed. The case has been registered under bailable sections.
A meeting was organized by the Bhangra Sanskriti Group Bathinda on Maler Kotla Road today in support of dancer Simran. Gurvinder Singh Bunty, the president of the group, stated that along with Simran, the group stands in solidarity with the DJ Association Punjab and Bhangra Culture Association.
Criticizing the inappropriate behavior towards female dancers, he said, “Some individuals associated with the DJ business have alleged that Simran was intoxicated. They should consider the implications of accusing Simran when they were not present at the scene.”
He further said the need for unity, asserting full support for Simran in this matter.
