Chandigarh: The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to protecting the interests of the Scheduled Castes of the state. Working in this direction Raju Ram present panch son of Ram Lal Village Ratanheri Tehsil Samana District Patiala and Amar Kaur wife Late Teja Singh Kuldeep Nagar Tehsil Rajpura District Patiala fake Scheduled Caste Certificate was rejected by the State Level Scrutiny Committee constituted at the Government level. is

        Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minority Dr. Baljit Kaur said that Pal Singh son of Jit Singh village Ratanheri, Patiala and others had filed a complaint with the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission that Raju Ram had come from Uttar Pradesh and became a resident here and he had made a Punjab State Scheduled Caste Certificate. due to which he cannot get the benefit of it.

        The cabinet minister said that in the same way Balbir Singh son of Nirmal Singh village Alampur district Patiala filed a complaint to the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission that Amar Kaur had made a Scheduled Caste (Ramdasia) certificate after the death of her husband. she belongs to State of Haryana. She cannot get the benefit of it. Complainant has written for action against her.

        The Minister further said that the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission had sought a report from the Department of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities and Deputy Commissioner Patiala regarding this matter. After investigating this case, it was found that Raju Ram’s caste is Scheduled Caste, but he came from outside and became a resident here. Therefore, as per the instructions of the government, he cannot avail the Scheduled Caste certificate in Punjab. Therefore, it has been decided to cancel the Scheduled Caste certificate of Raju Ram, the present panch son of Ram Lal village, Ratanheri tehsil, Samana district, Patiala.

         He said that similarly after investigating the case of Amar Kaur, it was found that Amar Kaur’s husband Teja Singh was a grade-4 employee at AP Jain Rajpura Government Hospital. She had joined a grade-4 job in the same hospital in the year 2000 after the death of her husband. Amar Kaur is belongs State of Haryana, but she had made a Scheduled Caste certificate from the state of Punjab. According to government instructions, she cannot made Scheduled Caste certificate in Punjab. Therefore, it has been decided to cancel the Scheduled Caste certificate of Amar Kaur wife Teja Singh Rajpura.

         The Minister said that the department has written to the Deputy Commissioner of Patiala and asked to cancel and confiscate Scheduled Caste Certificate No. 1158 dated 19.08.2009 of Raju Ram and Scheduled Caste Certificate No. 2155 dated 04.07.2013 of Amar Kaur.
