Dr Rajeev Sood appointed as Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University
Chandigarh: Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit has appointed Professor (Dr.) Rajiv Sood as Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. Dr Sood has been appointed for a period of three years from the date he assumes charge.
Dr Sood has an extensive experience of 40 years in medical practice and rich administrative experience in various capacities. His teaching experience includes 26 years after MCH and 12 years as professor. He has been dean PGIMER, Delhi for five and a half years and founder dean of ABVIMS for more than a year.
He has been associated with Parliament as Uro Advisor for 10 years and has been Uro Advisor to the President of India for 5 years.
He has more than 50 research projects and has supervised 1000 theses and projects. He has successfully conducted more than 500 workshops/training modules and published several national/international research papers.
Dr. Rajiv Sood graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi and passed MS (General Surgery) from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and PGMIER-Delhi and later did MCh (Urology) from AIIMS, New Delhi
