Drunk DSP fires bullets in Jalandhar, thrashed by locals

In Jalandhar, an incident occurred where a DSP allegedly fired two bullets into the air and two directly while in an inebriated state. The DSP, currently stationed in Jalandhar PAP, reportedly engaged in a dispute over car parking with a young man, leading to the aggressive use of firearms.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the Mand police outpost from Maqsooda’s police station arrived late Saturday night to investigate the scene. The DSP in question was taken into custody late at night under the supervision of DSP Kartarpur, Balbir Singh. However, there hasn’t been any official confirmation of his arrest by the police.
Gurjot Singh, a resident of Basti Ibrahim Khan village in Maqsooda’s Mand, mentioned that DSP Dalbir Singh, assigned to PAP, had arrived late Saturday night at Sarpanch Bhupinder Singh Gill’s place. They were reportedly consuming alcohol after parking their car outside the village’s parking lot gate.
