ED conducts raids at multiple locations in Punjab in connection with illegal mining, recovers Rs 3 crore

Chandigarh: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today carried out searches at multiple locations in Punjab in connection with its probe into a drug-related money laundering case, officials said.

Jagdish Singh alias Bhola is the main accused in the case. According to sources, raids were conducted at a total of 13 locations in Rupnagar district.

The ED’s probe has revealed that “illegal” mining is being carried out on the land attached by the agency in the Bhola case. That’s why this action was taken.

Some of the accused in this alleged illegal mining case include Naseeb Chand and ‘Shri Ram Crusher’. Around Rs 3 crore has been recovered during the raids.
