Elaborate Arrangements To Mark Parkash Utsav Of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji: Lok Sabha MP
Jalandhar News: Lok Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Rinku on Monday said that the administration would ensure elaborate arrangements for the upcoming Tirath Yatra, Shobha Yatra and other events to mark the Parkash Utsav of Bhagwan Valmiki ji Maharaj from October 19 to October 28.
Presiding over a meeting to review the arrangements with the Deputy Commissioner Mr Vishesh sarangal and officials of district administration , various committees in the DAC , the MP said that the administration was duty-bound to make foolproof preparations so that people could participate in the events with full religious gaiety and enthusiasm.
He said that the administration would make every effort for the smooth holding of these events. He said that a havan would be held in Bhagwan Valmiki ji Ashram, Shakti Nagar on October 19, Tirath Yatra on October 21, Shobha Yatra on October 27, and Parkash Utsav on October 28.
He asked the people to participate in the Shobha Yatra with full religious fervor.
Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal said that administration would ensure proper cleanliness of the route of the Shobha Yatra, sprinkle water on roads, and ensure temporary urinal and mobile toilets for the people participating in Tirath Yatra, Shobha Yatra.
He also asked the Commissionerate police to issue helpline numbers to deal with any kind of exigency and deploy lady force in adequate numbers to ensure the safety of women participants.
He asked the PSPCL to evolve a mechanism for ensuring supply of uninterrupted power during the Shobha Yatra and fire brigade to station fire tenders.
He asked every concerned team to make sure that their employees perform the duty diligently for smooth conduct of affairs during this famous Tirath Yatra and Shobha Yatra.
During the meeting leaders of the Valmiki Community including Chandan Grewal and others thanked the administration for necessary support and cooperation.
Prominent amongst present in the meeting included ADC (G ) Amit Mahajan , DCP Jagmohan singh , SDM Balbir Raj etc.
