Encounter in Amritsar: Foreign gangster’s accomplice arrested in Amritsar encounter

Amritsar News: Two alleged gangsters were apprehended following an encounter with police near Taranwala bridge at 3:30 am in Amritsar. One of the suspects was injured during the operation.

The gangsters had previously fired shots outside the home of soda maker Jasdeep Singh alias Sajan in Sunder Nagar four days ago, with Portuguese-based gangster Maan Ghanshampuria claiming responsibility for the attack.

Acting on a tip-off, police located the suspects in the New Amritsar area. During the pursuit, the gangsters opened fire on the police, prompting retaliatory firing that injured one of them, while the other temporarily escaped under the cover of darkness.

He was later arrested, and police recovered two pistols from the suspects.
