ETT Teachers to be promoted as head teachers: Harjot Singh Bains

Instructs DEOs to complete the process within one month

Chandigarh: School Education Minister Punjab Harjot Singh Bains today ordered all District Education Officers (Elementary Education) of the state to complete the process to promote ETT teachers as headteacher.

The Education Minister directed that the entire process of these promotions should be completed within one month and if these promotions are not done in any district of the state, then the District Education Officer of the concerned district will be responsible for it.

According to Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, the Elementary Directorate of Punjab will issue only one common approval for all the districts of the state regarding these promotions which will make the whole process easy and timely.

Minister Bains said that while the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is meeting the shortage of teachers by making continuous new recruitments in the education department, it is also making efforts to ensure timely promotions of various cadres serving in schools.
