Explosion outside Chandigarh clubs, Goldy Brar claims responsibility
Chandigarh: An explosion occurred outside two clubs, including one owned by Punjabi rapper Badshah, in Sector 26, Chandigarh, early Sunday morning.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang member Goldy Brar has claimed responsibility, citing a failure by club owners to pay protection money.
In a social media post, Brar alleged that repeated demands for money were ignored, leading to the attack to “send a message.”
The explosion took place around 3:15 a.m. when two motorcycle-borne assailants detonated explosives outside Club Seville and Club d’Ora.
Following the incident, Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur and investigative teams reached the scene to assess the situation. Authorities have heightened security in the area.
Notably, this is not the first such incident in Chandigarh. A few months ago, a grenade attack was reported at a house in Sector 10, raising concerns over growing gang activity in the region. Investigations are underway.
