Facing inconvenience, villagers to protest against the Shambhu Morcha, asks farmers to vacate highway
Chandigarh: Tension is likely to prevail in the ongoing farmers’ protest at the National Highway Shambhu border as a large number of people from the area have announced to vacate the road themselves if they do not leave the road to Ambala.
On the other hand, the farmers have said in a press conference that some people want to torpedo their sit-in with the connivance of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the AAP government in Punjab.
Due to this, the village committee will decide today whether to block Banur Road or approach the High Court. If Banur Road is also blocked, then 32 km of dilapidated road will be left to go to Ambala.
Farmers have been camping at the Shambhu border since February 13. Tear gas shells have been fired to stop the farmers. Farmers demand that they be given MSP. For this, they were marching towards Delhi, but concrete walls were built at the Shambhu border.
