Muktsar: The Muktsar police, investigating an extortion case involving Rs 90 lakh through an Instagram post, have found that a member of the victim’s own family was involved, District Police Chief Dr. Akhil Chaudhary confirmed.

The victim, Sandeep Singh, a software engineer from Karamgarh village near Malout, was targeted by an unidentified individual who created fake Instagram IDs and posted stories in the name of his family members, demanding ₹90 lakh, a Fortuner car, or Bitcoin as ransom.
