Faridkot protest: Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewala’s health deteriorates, continues hunger strike

Punjab E News: Disgruntled over Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s statement that farmers have made it a custom to stage protests, the sit-in by the Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Sidhupur continued for the sixth day in Faridkot.

The indefinite hunger strike by president Jagjit Singh Dallewal is also continuing and today his health deteriorated due to low sugar level.
According to the health department team, Dallewala’s sugar level has fallen well below the prescribed amount but he refused to seek any medical help. Tehsildar Rupinder Singh, who rushed to the spot, said the situation was under control.
