Farishtey Scheme: High-tech ambulances transform road safety in Punjab

Punjab E News: The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has taken significant steps to enhance road safety and provide timely medical assistance to accident victims. As part of its comprehensive approach, 325 high-tech ambulances equipped with advanced life-support systems have been deployed across the state to save lives and ensure safer travel for citizens.
Immediate Response to Emergencies
The newly launched ambulances are designed to reach accident sites within 10 to 15 minutes of being alerted. Equipped with modern medical equipment and GPS tracking systems, these ambulances enable real-time communication with hospitals, ensuring swift coordination and prompt treatment.
In addition to deploying ambulances, the state has introduced a Road Safety Force to handle accidents and emergencies efficiently. This dedicated force works alongside the ambulances to minimize delays and provide immediate assistance to victims.
Focus on Advanced Infrastructure
To further strengthen road safety, the government has invested in improving road infrastructure and implementing safety measures. Highways and accident-prone areas are being equipped with trauma centers to provide specialized medical care.
‘Farishtey’ Scheme for Saving Lives
The “Farishtey” scheme, launched by the government, aims to reduce fatalities by offering immediate medical care to accident victims. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring timely healthcare for every injured individual, stating, “Saving lives is our top priority, and we are committed to creating a robust healthcare infrastructure to achieve this.”

Since the introduction of these measures, the high-tech ambulances and the Road Safety Force have proven instrumental in saving lives, significantly reducing fatalities on Punjab’s roads. By integrating real-time tracking, advanced equipment, and immediate response protocols, the state is setting new standards for road safety and emergency medical services.
