Farmer leader Jagjit Dallewal agrees to glucose after initial refusal
Chandigarh: Chaos erupted at the Dhabai Gujjaran (Khanauri) border on Tuesday when farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on a fast unto death, initially refused to accept glucose from a doctor.
According to DSP Patran Inderpal Singh Chauhan, the doctor was from South India and faced language barriers, leading to the misunderstanding.
After discussions with officials, Dallewal eventually agreed to the treatment. Kaka Singh Kotra, a prominent Morcha leader, revealed that he had spoken with Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh, urging him to arrange private doctors if government doctors were unable to provide adequate care.
