Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal moved to Jalandhar under tight security
Jalandhar: Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has been lodged at the PWD rest house in Jalandhar Cantonment after being brought from Patiala around 2 am, officials said.
Dallewal was initially admitted to PIMS hospital but was later moved to the guest house after he refused medical treatment. Security has been tightened around the facility.
Sources in the state government said Dallewal would be shifted between locations over the next one or two days to prevent farmers from gathering in his support. His whereabouts are being kept confidential.
Earlier, reports suggested that Dallewal had been moved to DMC Ludhiana, but officials later confirmed his transfer to Jalandhar.
