Farmers cancel rail track blockade, meeting with Haryana Police to be held in afternoon

Chandigarh: The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have cancelled their plan to block the railway line in Shambhu on Tuesday to protest the release of water cannon youth Navdeep Singh and his accomplice Gurkirat Singh. The farmers have got time for a meeting from the Haryana Police administration.

On Tuesday at 12 noon, Chandigarh Haryana Administration will hold talks with farmer leaders on the above issue. Apart from farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, Abhimanyu Kohar, Sukhjeet Singh, Jaswinder Singh Longowal etc. will be present in the meeting. At the same time, top police officials are likely to reach Haryana.
