Farmers’ delegation to meet Punjab government today

Chandigarh: The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee and the Samyukt Kisan Morcha are scheduled to meet with the Punjab government today in Chandigarh. The meeting is set for 3 PM at Punjab Bhavan. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher shared details about the upcoming discussions with the state government.

A delegation of farmer leaders, including Kaka Singh Kotla, Jaswinder Singh Longowal, Baldev Singh Zira, Harpreet Singh Sindhwan, Ranjit Singh Kaler Bala, and Satnam Singh Sahni, will present their demands to the government officials.

Key topics on the agenda include resolving issues related to procurement at the agricultural markets, establishing a permanent policy for farmers who were martyred during recent protests, managing the use of DAP fertilizers and stubble burning, and discussing the land acquisition policy under the Bharatmala project.
