Farmers detained ahead of protest, farmers to march towards Chandigarh on August 22
Punjab News: Thousands of farmers from Punjab under the leadership of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee are coming to Chandigarh today to hold a morcha.
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher had clarified the position in this regard after a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, saying that thousands of farmers will hold a morcha from August 22.
The Chandigarh Police-administration is trying to avoid their protest by talking to the farmers, but the administration has not got any success so far as the demands of the farmers, especially the farmers, are from the central government. The Chief Minister and the Governor of Punjab are sitting in Chandigarh, due to which the farmers will hold a Chandigarh Morcha, farmers said.
No consensus in meeting between Governor and farmers
Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit also held a meeting with the farmers and persuaded them not to hold a morcha, on August 20, he held a meeting with the farmers for a long time, but according to sources, the meeting remained inconclusive.
