Farmers’ loans will be waived off if India alliance comes to power, MSP will be given legal guarantee: Rahul Gandhi
Chandigarh: Addressing a large gathering at the grain market of Dakha assembly constituency in Ludhiana Lok Sabha constituency, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi announced that as soon as the opposition alliance India comes to power, farmers’ loans will be waived, legal guarantee on minimum support price on crops will be given and the Agneepath scheme will be canceled and thrown in the dustbin.
He said that this election is to save the Constitution, BJP wants to destroy the Constitution. He also announced setting up of a Farmers’ Debt Commission and ensuring compensation for crop failure within 30 days under the crop insurance scheme. He also announced an annual stipend of Rs 1 lakh per annum for graduates and diploma holder youth under the first job guarantee scheme for graduates and diploma holder youth.
