Farmers’ protest in Jalandhar, route diverted: Traffic on highways diverted, commuters harried 

Jalandhar News: In Punjab’s Jalandhar, farmers continued their sit-in protest for the second day against the hike in sugarcane prices. Due to this, people are facing a lot of problems. Due to the jam, different traffic directions have been issued by Jalandhar, Kapurthala and Ludhiana police.
     Police have stopped traffic at 4 places from Jalandhar City to Dharna. The first is near PAP Chowk, the second is Ramamandi Chowk, the third is Dakoha Phatak and the fourth is near Jalandhar Cantt railway station.
Routes to Delhi, Panipat, Ambala, Ludhiana
For people travelling from Amritsar, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur towards Delhi, Panipat, Ambala, Karnal and Ludhiana, a route diversion has been imposed from Talhan village near Ramamandi. This route originates near Phagwara. Also, some other ways are also for this route. The first of which is the route from Dakoha located in Ramamandi, Jalandhar to Paragpur. However, the movement of heavy vehicles is prohibited on the said route.
