Former CM Channi pays obeisance at Golden Temple after getting ticket from Jalandhar, to kick off campaign today

Chandigarh: The Congress high command has announced the candidate for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat. Congress has expressed confidence in former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi.

Channi reached the Golden Temple in Amritsar to pay obeisance with the top leadership of the Congress in the early hours of Monday morning.

Afterward, Channi visited the Shri Durgyana Temple and then the Lord Valmiki Teerth Dham. Soon, Congress leaders will commence campaigning in Jalandhar.

Pertinently, family of former Santokh Singh Chaudhary is upset. Channi maintains his image as a religious leader in Jalandhar because he visits the deras, gurudwaras, and temples of the district and interacts with the people.
