Former Congress minister Ashu to appear in Jalandhar court today: summons sent to many close aides
Chandigarh: Former Punjab cabinet minister India Bhushan Ashu will be produced in a Jalandhar court today amid tight security. ED officials have taken Ashu on remand for the last 10 days. Ashu is being questioned continuously for the last 10 days. Ashu was arrested by the ED on August 1.
According to sources, it has been learned that the ED has summoned about 5 people who are very close to Ashu. Some of them were also those whose involvement the vigilance had found in the transport tender scam. The number of people being summoned in the checklist may increase in the coming days.
Even the financial accounts of many people close to Ashu are also being investigated. Officials are also preparing to question several investors and financiers.
