Former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder may become Governor of J&K
Chandigarh: The BJP, which is preparing for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, may reshuffle the Union Cabinet and organization as well as change governors in three states. The name of former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is currently in the discussion in Jammu and Kashmir politics.
In place of Manoj Sinha, who became governor in 2020, this responsibility is being considered to be handed over to Captain. Although there was a discussion on his becoming the Governor of Maharashtra a few months ago, but later this discussion was put to rest.
Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has turned 81. He joined the BJP after dissolving the regional party formed after quitting the Congress. The Modi government is also considering removing two or three governors before contesting the Lok Sabha elections.
