Fortis Healthcare acquires Shriman Superspeciality Hospital for Rs 461.9 crore

Jalandhar: Fortis Healthcare Limited (FHL) has announced the acquisition of Shriman Superspeciality Hospital for Rs 461.9 crore, strengthening its presence in Punjab.

The acquisition, carried out through Fortis’ wholly-owned subsidiary, Fortis Hospital Limited (FHTL), will increase Fortis’ total bed capacity in the state to over 1,000 across five facilities. The deal is subject to shareholders’ approval.

Fortis Healthcare currently operates hospitals in Mohali, Amritsar, and Ludhiana. With this acquisition, the company aims to bolster its regional network.

Fortis is one of India’s leading integrated healthcare service providers, operating 27 healthcare facilities, including joint ventures and management contracts, with around 4,700 active beds and 405 diagnostic labs.
