Gangster Lawrence’s interview in Punjab jail: SIT submits report to HC

Chandigarh: Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, the main accused in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, was interviewed for the first time in a jail in Punjab.

After the investigation, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) submitted its first report in a sealed cover to the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Not only this, the court has also sought time to record the statements of some more witnesses.

The probe was initiated under the chairmanship of Special DGP (Human Rights) Prabodh Kumar on the orders of the High Court. On Wednesday, the SIT told the HC that the investigation was still on and some crucial witnesses were to be examined. For this, time has been sought from the High Court.

After which the sealed report given by the SIT in the High Court was read and after reading it, it has been returned to the SIT again.
