Governor may write to Chief Justice to seek CBI probe into Kataruchak controversial video case
Chandigarh: Punjab Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak’s troubles may increase. In the case of the controversial video, Governor Banwarilal Purohit can write a letter to the CBI investigation or the Chief Justice himself to take cognizance.
As a result, the investigation of the case will go out of the purview of the Punjab government.
The governor is scheduled to visit the border area on June 7-8. According to sources, he can take action before the CBI investigation or write a letter to the Chief Justice.
The governor has described the matter of Minister Kataruchak as serious. He has also recommended to CM Bhagwant Mann twice about action against Kataruchak, but no action has been taken yet. Opposition party leaders are also demanding action in the matter.
Congress leader of opposition Partap Singh Bajwa has written a letter to the Punjab Governor two days ago. In this, he has demanded a CBI inquiry into the Kataruchak case.
It is also written that Governor BL Purohit should write a letter to the Chief Justice in this regard, so that he can take cognizance himself. If this happens, then the troubles of the AAP’s government in Punjab may increase.
