Guava Orchard Scam: ED raids IAS officers, property dealers in Chandigarh and Mohali

Chandigarh: Enforcement Directorate raids are going on in Chandigarh and Mohali. The raids are being reported at 15 locations including two IAS officers, property dealers and several farmers.

Sources said that it has been learned that this interrogation is being done in connection with the guava orchard scam in Mohali. So far, Punjab Vigilance was investigating it. This raid is being done only at the location of the people associated with this case.

The case pertains to land acquisition for the Aerotropolis project by the Greater Mohali Development Authority on Airport Road.

The compensation for the acquired land was given by GMADA as per the land pooling policy. The price of guava trees planted in that land was paid separately from the land.
